If you are getting rid of a computer, you might want to consider a data destruction service first. Sensitive information can live in the cloud even if you destroy the machine. Check the venue before you arrive to make sure your gadgets are among the ones they can eliminate safely.
Tires
Many states have strict laws about dumping tires into landfills, which can lead to years of prison time and thousands of dollars in fines. The rubber in tires isn’t biodegradable, so it is possible that those round objects will linger for hundreds or even thousands of years. Tire retailers will often take the old ones off your hands for a small fee when you buy new ones. Check for licensed scrap tire sites as well as government-sponsored tire recycling days.
Furniture
If you are unable to sell your pieces, there are options available for you. You can donate them, or call a service that will retrieve them for you. Your city may offer these accommodations as well. Some people even have success putting them on their curbs to give away for free.
No matter how tempting it is to throw everything you don’t need into your neighborhood dumpster, this is not the way to take care of the issue. As you can see, there are plenty of choices to keep in mind.
